🌟 My Journey with Red Rover and the Purple Leash Project 🌟 

Hey Everyone,

I’m Stephanie Frank, a canine and human behaviorist, a survivor of domestic violence, and a proud volunteer for RedRover by Purina. I’m excited to share my passion for the Purple Leash Project and its incredible impact on survivors of domestic violence and their beloved pets.

🐾 A Personal Connection to the Cause

Not only am I a canine expert, but I’ve also walked the path of a domestic violence survivor. My personal journey has fueled my commitment to advocate for the unique bond between humans and their furry companions. I believe wholeheartedly in the transformative power of building dog runs for domestic violence safety shelters.


🐶 The Issue

Statistics show an estimated one in three women and one in four men experience some form of domestic abuse in their lifetimes – but currently only 17% of domestic violence shelters accept pets.

All to often, victims of domestic violence won’t leave their abuser because they don’t have a safe place to bring their dog. RedRover is changing that.

🤝 Soft Hands and Warm Hearts: RedRover’s Mission

As a volunteer, I get to be a part of RedRover’s mission to bring animals and people from crisis to care. The staff and volunteers, including myself, extend soft hands and warm hearts to those in need, providing a lifeline for survivors and their pets.

🌈 Celebrating the RedRover and Purina Team

I take immense pride in being a volunteer for RedRover and Purina, witnessing firsthand their collective efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of survivors and their pets. Through our collaboration, we’re creating more pet-friendly domestic violence shelters spreading hope and awareness as well as rescuing animals from emergency situations.
